This one is a little different ……
Two different versions …..
Two different morals

OLD VERSION:

The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and
laying up supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.
Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed.
The grasshopper has no food or shelter,
so he dies out in the cold.

MORAL OF THE OLD STORY:

Be responsible for yourself!

MODERN VERSION:
The ant works hard in the withering heat and the rain all summer long, building his house
and laying up supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.

Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while he is cold and starving.

CBS, NBC , PBS, CNN and ABC
show up to provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with
a table filled with food.
America is stunned by the sharp contrast.

How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is
allowed to suffer so?

Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah
with the grasshopper and everybody cries when they sing,
‘It’s Not Easy Being Green..’

ACORNstages a demonstration in front of the ant’s house where the news stations film the group singing, We Shall Overcome.

ThenRev. Jeremiah Wright
has the group kneel down to pray for the grasshopper’s sake.

President Obamacondemns the ant
and blames President Bush, President Reagan, Christopher Columbus, and the Pope for the grasshopper’s plight.

Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid exclaim in an interview with
LarryKingthat the ant has
gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper,
and both call for an immediate tax hike on the antto make him pay his fair share.

Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity & Anti-Grasshopper Act,
retroactive to the beginning of the summer.

The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of
green bugsand,
having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the Government Green Czar and given to thegrasshopper.

The story ends as we see the grasshopper and his free-loading friends finishing up the last bits of the ant’s food while the government house he is in, which, as you recall, just happens to be the ant’s old house, crumbles around them because the grasshopper doesn’tmaintain it.

The ant has disappeared in the snow, never to be seen again.

The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident, and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize and ramshackle the once prosperous and peaceful neighborhood.

The entire Nation collapses bringing the rest
of the free world with it.

MORAL OF THE STORY:

Be careful how you vote in 2012

I think the following suggestion is a great idea; to an extent. Instead of all incumbents, I would suggest inserting “all incumbents that have not demonstrated their allegiance to the United States and their dedication to preserving and protecting our Constitution as amended. Their are some in the House and Senate that have consistently demonstrated that they are the type of representatives they all should be.

EASIER THEN TERM LIMITS

CUT CORRUPTION IN GOVERNMENT.

VOTE AGAINST ALL INCUMBENTS.

INCUMBENTS HAVE NOTHING TO GAIN BY FAVORING TERM LIMITS, AND EVERYTHING TO LOOSE.

Do your duty and vote your conscience. Do all you can to support your candidate. Participate in your states caucus, attend the state caucus, and get nominated to attend the national convention in Florida. Even if you take part by wearing some sort of advertisement for your candidate and putting a sticker on your car or placing signs in your yard and around your neighborhood, get involved in supporting your candidate. Be part of the solution and not part of the problem.

Today, Newt Gingrich laid it out about Obama’s planning and acting to take the U.S. down, Hurrah for Newt. Up until this, and probably after this, I felt/feel that Newt will just get us more of what we have now (see suggestion above.) Its time all four candidates started tearing up Obama and what he has and has not done instead of picking on each other. Each needs to shine by his own light.

Who is buying companies, manufacturing guns ?????

For the last several years a company called The Freedom Group has been buying up gun and ammunition manufacturers. Some of the companies are Bushmaster, Marlin, Remington, DPMS, Dakota Arms and H&R. Some people worry that this Freedom Group is going to control most of the firearms companies in the United States. If you control the manufacturers you can decide to stop selling to civilians. What a perfect way to control guns.

Now, if you do some digging, you will see that The Freedom Group is owned by a company called Cerberus Capital Management.

Guess who controls Cerberus??? GEORGE SOROS !!!!!!!!! One of the most evil men on this planet who wants to restrict or ban all civilian guns. Please pass this on to all your freedom loving friends. This needs to come out. Why have we not heard about this in the “mainstream” media? I would think this would be BIG news. (Soros also owns Progressive Insurance)

If you don’t know who George Soros is, you need to do some research. He backed Obama with millions of dollars and Obama is a puppet on a string controlled by Soros.

just as well be carrying dirty bombs as drugs. Mexico is known to give false identification to people from other countries
to aid them in their illegal immigration to the U.S. and prevent their being discovered as coming from their actual points
of origin. We are being invaded folks and my opinion is that a significant portion of those crossing into the U.S. illegally
from Mexico are people that will blend into our society until the time is right and then they will become soldiers of our
enemies that will hit us on all fronts from within every community in the U.S. If I am right, we won’t stand a chance
of defending ourselves and saving our country.

THIS ISSUE: Is the Border Secure? SHOCKING VIDEO Shows Otherwise

Just about a week ago, we were given a video exposing a major breach on the U.S./Mexico border near Lukeville, Ariz. located about 100 miles southwest of Tucson. We checked its authenticity with our sources at the Department of Homeland Security who have confirmed that the video is real and was taken recently. Watch this distressing video that was first posted by Cochise County Sheriff Larry Dever and see how, despite claims by the Administration, the border is far from secure. Our DHS sources have been able to determine from the clothes the men are wearing, the straps on their backpacks, and other things they’re carrying, that these are indeed drug smugglers bringing hundreds of pounds of illegal drugs into the United States. The fence shown here was built by the Bush Administration and part of a $1 billion contract with Boeing. Amazingly, the fence was designed to do exactly what the smugglers did. The fence panels slide inside two steel columns, but no one in the Bush Administration nor at Boeing even considered welding the panels to the posts, making it easy for smugglers to get through. What we don’t know is if they failed to weld along the entire length of the fence or just in some areas. DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano has testified before Congress, saying the border is more secure now than it’s ever been. Administration officials boast about fewer border crossings and the effectiveness of thousands of more border patrol agents. But where are the border patrol agents in this video? And if there aren’t any border patrol agents to see the illegal crossings, then the crossings can’t be recorded. NumbersUSA is currently pushing for a Congressional investigation into this major breach of border security. The fence needs to be fixed, and Boeing needs to pay for it! I am sharing this with you because it is a shame that our troops are often not considered for who they
really are and what they represent in the lives of every man woman and child in our United States.

We are all negligent in our responsibilities to support our troops and be openly grateful for their efforts
and sacrifices made so freely in our behalf. protecting us daily in so many unfriendly places in the World.

I spent a little more than 20 years in the Navy Reserves. I wasn’t called to serve, but, I was ready to go if
called. I worked for 33 years with the Department of Defense, Defense Logistics Agency, in connection with
DoD contracts let in support of our troops. I am totally behind our troops and behind the same thing they
are all about: AMERICA!

How about you? What are you about? Will you serve when called to defend your country? Will you give
your life so that others can share the American dream, so that children can grow up under the same conditions
that you experienced as you grew? I hope so!

Now, ask your representatives in Washington if they are willing to do the same thing. They are supposed to
you know? They take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution from all enemies, both foreign and
domestic. There is no limit on how far they are to go in order to do so. I tell my representatives that I expect
them to but I have never gotten a response in the affirmative or negative. I don’t think any of them are the
least bit willing. What do you think?

We all have to fight as hard as we can to prevent any treaty or other agreement with the U.N. or other agency or organization that limits any of our constitutional protections. Right now, there are things in motion in the U.N. to limit our second amendment rights to own and bear arms in our own defense and in the defense of others against all enemies, both domestic and foreign. Always remember what happened to the Germans, Austrians, Poles, and others under Hitler. He used gun registration to take away citizens guns and make slaves of them. We must all act to prevent Obama from exacting any law , treaty, or executive order on us that limits, or tends to limit our Bill or Rights and the other constitutional amendments, especially the first and second amendments.

Act now, tell your senators that you don’t want them to ratify any treaty with the U.N. or other international organization especially those that are want to affect changes in our Constitution.

NRA at U.N. Arms Trade Meeting

As we have done in the past, NRA attended a United Nations Arms Trade Treaty meeting in New York City this week.

The so called “Arms Trade Treaty Preparatory Committee” is being attended by almost 500 U.N. delegates and non-governmental organization (NGO) representatives. NRA is the leading pro-firearm NGO at the U.N. and has taken the strong and clear position that any Arms Trade Treaty must in no way impact gun owners’ rights.

This sentiment echoes what NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre said in a speech last July at the United Nations, when he told the audience of delegates from approximately 150 U.N. member states that NRA would vehemently oppose any U.N. treaty that in any way restricts American gun owners’ rights. For nearly 20 years, NRA has worked tirelessly to oppose any United Nations effort to undermine the constitutional rights of law-abiding American gun owners. In order for any treaty to take effect, however, it must be ratified by two-thirds of the U.S. Senate. To ensure that any ATT that includes civilian arms is dead on arrival in the Senate, NRA has been working to get as many U.S. Senators as possible to publicly oppose any ATT that includes restrictions on civilian arms.

Last year, 58 members—more than a majority of the U.S.–Senate signed letters to President Obama and Secretary of State Clinton saying they will oppose any ATT that includes civilian firearms ownership.

A final four week conference will be held at the U.N. in July to finalize the ATT. NRA will be present throughout the July meeting and, as we have for nearly two decades, will continue to fight against any U.N. treaty that undermines the constitutional rights of American gun owners.

Missouri needs an Emergency Powers statute which includes lawful carrying and transportation of firearms in the list of actions that cannot be
prohibited during a declaration of emergency. Considering the direction in which our country is headed and the terrible options available to
Obama that would wreak havoc with our way of life and the freedoms we enjoy today, I would like to see you get a copy of the VA Emergency Powers
statute and work to have such a program instituted in Missouri. Our citizens surely deserve the best protections possible on a daily basis and under
emergency conditions alike.

I implore you to take this suggestion and make a go of it. I don’t suspect you will get much, if any, opposition from members of the Missouri House and Senate. The governor may be a horse of a different color, but, a majority in both houses can override any objection he might have.

Virginia: House Subcommittee Passes Two Pro-Gun Bills, Full Committee Consideration Expected Tomorrow!

Today, the House Militia, Police and Public Safety Subcommittee #1 took action on three bills of importance to gun owners in the Commonwealth. During their meeting this committee took a positive step towards advancing Second Amendment protections during a declared state of emergency and to streamline the concealed carry process by unanimously passing both Senate Bill 245 and Senate Bill 563. Both SB 245 and SB 563 will now be considered by the full House Militia, Police and Public Safety Committee tomorrow morning.

Sponsored by state Senator Mark Obenshain (R-26), SB 245 would update Virginia’s Emergency Powers statute by adding lawful carrying and transportation of firearms to the list of actions that cannot be prohibited during a declaration of emergency.

SB 563, sponsored by state Senator Frank Ruff (R-15), would alter certain application procedures to obtain a concealed handgun permit, including allowing for the submission of an initial application via U.S. mail. This bill would also restrict the clerk and the circuit court from requesting or requiring any information from an applicant other than that which is allowed on the concealed handgun permit application.

In another act supported by pro-gun advocates, this subcommittee also decided to “carry over” until next year anti-gun Senate Bill 554 by a 4 to 1 vote. Sponsored by state Senator Barbara Favola (D-31), SB 554 would have created a Class 1 misdemeanor for the transportation or possession of firearms within the residence of the alleged victim by persons subject to emergency protective orders issued as a result of an assault and battery against a family or household member.

Please contact members of the full House Militia, Police and Public Safety Committee and urge them to support SB 245 and SB 563 when considered tomorrow morning. With the number of bills currently being considered in both chambers, it is important that you continue to urge your legislators to act quickly and help protect our Second Amendment rights. I-95 North will be jammed for the next month or so……..Druggies and deadbeats heading north out of Florida.

Florida is the first state requiring drug testing to receive welfare! In signing the new law, Republican Gov. Rick Scott said, “If Floridians want welfare, they better make sure they are drug-free.

Applicants who test positive for illicit substances won’t be eligible for the funds for a year, or until they undergo treatment.

Those who fail a second time would be banned from receiving funds for three years!

Naturally, a few people are crying this is unconstitutional.

How is this unconstitutional ?

It’s completely legal that every other worker must pass drug tests in order to get a J-O-B which supports those on welfare!
