Feinstein Introduces New Federal Bill to Confiscate
Guns if Snitches Feel Unsafe
Two weeks after Elliot Rodger stabbed three people and shot
three more, a trio of legislators from California, including
Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer, have proposed a new
federal law called “The Pause for Safety Act”.
The law would allow anyone at any time to seek a “firearms
restraining order” against an individual to prevent them from
purchasing any new firearms and also to confiscate any
firearms they may already own. They’re so confident the
law is good that states will be bribed into complying through
a federal grant program.
The press release on Sen. Barbara Boxer’s website says:
The Pause for Safety Act would encourage states to take
the following steps to help prevent gun violence:
One, ensure that families and others can go to court to
seek a gun violence prevention order to temporarily stop
someone close to them who poses a threat to himself,
herself or others from purchasing a firearm.Two, ensure
that a court can issue a gun violence prevention warrant
that would allow law enforcement to take temporary
possession of firearms that are in an individual’s possession
if the court determines that the individual poses a threat
to himself, herself or others three, ensure that law
enforcement makes full use of all existing state and local
gun databases when assessing a tip, warning or request
from a concerned family member or other close associate.
The bill would bribe states to comply through a grant program:
The measure would create a new grant program – the Pause
for Safety Grant Program – to help support these efforts.
States that take action to enact these preventive measures
would be eligible for the grants to provide resources for
courts and law enforcement as they implement these measures.
“We must do everything in our power to keep firearms out of
the hands of those who pose a serious risk of harm to themselves
or to others,” Senator Feinstein said. “I’m pleased to work with
Senator Boxer on this bill, which creates a new grant program to
encourage states to allow family members and others to seek
court orders to temporarily prohibit dangerous individuals from
possessing a firearm. The bill would allow those who know the
most about the condition of someone who poses a risk of
committing violence to take steps to remove firearms from that
individual’s possession.

Find ONE government in the entire history of humanity that felt that it had a need to give ITSELF the legal RIGHT to "Keep and BEAR ARMS" Find ONE government in the entire history of humanity that felt that it had a need to SPELL OUT It’s own "RIGHT" to have weapons.
The ONLY reason for the Second Amendment is to codify the RIGHT of INDIVIDUALS to keep & bear ARMS.

It is important that someone who may be a target of someone bent on revenge have the ability to protect themselves. It is important that when a therapist or parent learns of impending danger to others that the police take these possible threats more seriously. However, Anonymous at 4:59 pm above has it right. Cars kill far more people than guns in the U.S., yet, we aren’t taking cars away from people. I’ve been run done and run over three times, intentionally, and I know hundreds who are disabled today because they were severely injured in vehicular incidents. Why don’t Feinstein and Boxer care about the victims of these vehicular accidents? The answer is that the federal government is ready to take away our Constitutionally protected right to travel quite yet. More on that later.

I can imagine a scenario wherein an individual might call the authorities with such a complaint against another as a ruse to disarm that person in order that the complainer could then attack the then disarmed person without fear.

Feinstein, Boxer, Pelosi, these three women have allowed Main Street California, a place they have major influence in, to be inundated with criminals from Mexico– drug dealers, child molesters, miscreants of every type. Most of them carry guns or own guns, not giving a damn, what the laws of the U.S. and California are. But, Feinstein and company want to disarm California citizens. How can citizens be so stupid as to give an atom of support to these people?

This proposed law is blatantly unconstitutional. What part of "the right of the people to bear arms shall not be infringed" do they not understand? This proposed law appears ripe for abuse too. People can use it to take revenge on someone. Or as someone said, have someone disarmed so they can attack them safely later. At the very least, this proposed law, if it’s to go ahead (which it shouldn’t), should have provisions whereby the person making the complaint must guarantee the safety of the person whom they want to deprive of their fire arms. If that person is harmed or suffers loss in any way (including loss of family members) then the person who arranged to have their fire arm taken away should pay up whatever is required to make good the loss or harm, including forfeiting their own life. The person who’s fire arms are taken should also be given the name and address of the person who arranged to have their fire arms taken. Given these provisions, who wouldn’t think extra carefully about whether it’s really worth it to have another person’s fire arms taken?
Also, the fire arms should not be taken until AFTER the person has had their day in court, where it should be up to the snitch and the authorities to prove positively that this person is allegedly about to harm themselves or others. Actually that "others" should really be "others NOT connected with the government", because surely one should never lose the right to protect one’s self against tyranical government agents.
But yeah, even with these added stipulations, it still remains unconstitutional.
Once the first gun is seized as per this law, someone should take out Feinstein and all other supporters of this law, and the snitch responsible for that first seizure.
