Hi Folks,
I am really getting tired of getting requests for contributions from the same organizations and from organizations I have never heard of before. I admit to know that some of the organizations requesting donations for causes that appear near and dear to our hearts and pocket books are legitimate, but, I am also of the opinion that a great many of the polls, surveys, open letters, petitions, etc. that are coming in the mail by the tens and hundreds are bogus, that any monies that they received from contributors, except for some small amount that is forwarded to another organization supporting a like cause, goes to lavish offices and life styles of those collecting the contributions. If one nickel of every dollar goes for the cause described in the vehicle soliciting your “volunteer” participation, it would be a lot.
People, may I suggest that if you have never heard of an organization, can’t find much out about them, details and facts in their solicitation sound too good and/or too ridiculous to really believe, chances are that they really are too good to believe and are as ridiculous as they look.
No matter what the cause and how much you would like to support such a cause, DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY TO ANYONE FOR ANY REASON UNLESS YOU CHECK THEM OUT YOURSELF FIRST!!
During this time, and the months to come, when everyone is aware of, and becoming more aware of the importance of the up coming elections and just how many things weight in the balance thereof, the vultures and the uncouth are coming out in hoards to take advantage of the generosity of Americans and our desire to help out just about any just cause in which we believe. They will go to any ends to get our money for themselves and/or their cause which may, or may not be related to the cause cited in their solicitation of our help.
MY OPINION is that I feel sure that organizations that support causes similar/the same as those espoused by Obama supporters are being supported through misdirected donations obtained by these unscrupulous front organizations. Beware Americans, you may well be contributing to the demise of the America that we all love and respect! Donate ONLY if you are sure your money will go for the cause you wish to support and that a large part of every dollar that you donate goes to the cause in which you believe.
I hope you will be wide awake when you decide to donate to any cause. I hope you will be really awake and aware before donating to any political cause and/or cause that purports to save some right or benefit that is near and dear to your heart.
