Please, please do your homework on the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2012. Read all the posts and articles you can find related to H.R. 1540 and its sister legislation S.1867. The Senate passed this monster of a bill and the House must stop some portions of it from becoming law. Those parts are the ones that, through non-specicific terminology could be construed as permitting the president to commit crimes against U.S. citizens and citizens of other countries.
Read S. 1867 and pay special attention to sections 1031, 1032, 1033, and 1036. Then read H.R. 1540 and find paragraphs therein that are worded the same or similar. These are the ones you must ask your Congresswoman/Congressman to have removed from the bill at all cost. Tell your Representatives that there is no way that you will vote for their reelection if they vote for passage of this horrendous bill.
If passed, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal 2012, H.R. 1540 will permit the president, and all future presidents, to use military law in the United States and elsewhere. Under military law (which will cut the courts, Congress, and the Constitution right out of the picture) the president would have the power as Commander in Chief, to have anyone he chooses (or whomever he/she delegates authority to chooses) arrested and held for an indefinite period of time without being officially charged and without trial.
This means that should our president (from Obama onward) decides that certain persons and/or groups must be rounded up and imprisoned for a reason of his/her making, which won’t have to be disclosed, and that could be the last anyone may ever hear from them again.
Hello fellow citizens, we have our Constitution and we are a nation of laws. Are we going to stand by and have the basic fabric or our country and our way of life torn from us and given to a military dictator? Under such a scenario you will become a slave. Your guns will be taken away as well as all personal property including your wealth in all its forms.
That means you could lose your home, or if the government decides, be relegated to living in a couple of its rooms while others are moved in to live in other rooms. Your home could end up with three, four, or more families living in it. Who would take care of it….not the government or anyone else. You won’t have money, remember. Look up communal living during the cold war and see what it was like. Look up what life was like when all businesses were owned by the government.
Oh, the government will tell you you can keep your business, but, they will continually inspect your facilities and the way you do business and heap requirements on you that will gradually drive the cost of compliance up until you can no longer operate the business. Then the government could kill you for not keeping it up or take everything related to the business from you.
Does all that sound ridiculous? It is not! Passage of H.R. 1540 will mean the end of us and the U,S. It cannot be allowed to become law. Please bust your butts to get it stopped, now!
Thanks fellow patriot!

… And nowhere does this act overturn the Posse Comitatus Act
