Can you imagine passing the Dream Act just to make sure you get elected, with no forethought or concern about what the effects will be on every American as a result? Sounds like a move Harry Reid would make, Pelosi, and a whole number of others within the Obama administration.
People, we can’t afford passage of the DREAM Act for any reason what so ever. This bill gives amnesty to the families of illegal invaders that are attending college and will let students complete their education. I have heard excuses like, the students involved possibly don’t know that they are illegal aliens because their parents sneaked into the U.S. when they were very young.
I don’t know where there is a statute of limitations on sneaking into a country for the purpose of defrauding American citizens out of benefits to which they are not entitled. There are too many do-gooders in the U.S. that are willing to give away the store to anyone. People that believe our constitution covers everyone in our country. This is not so, no way. Nowhere does the constitution say that the founders planned for the protection of persons in the country as a result of illegal acts of invasion through sneaking across the border.
I received the following email today. It is from NumbersUSA.com and it concerns Harry Reid’s desire to pass the DREAM Act this week. Please visit this site and take advantage of being able to fax your representative and senators from here at no cost. You can also get talking points for use when calling them to tell them that you don’t want amnesty granted to criminals and any part of their families.
Yell loud and clear, let them hear, NO AMNESTY, NO DREAM ACT, no-one committing illegal acts of invasion to get into the U.S. Especially terrorists with phony papers granted them by Mexican authorities. Imagine how many must be here now, fermenting plans for activities that will totally disrupt day to day activities of citizens and instill fear. Fear that will cause mass confusion wherein people will do stupid things they wouldn’t think of otherwise.

In 2006, separate versions were passed in the Senate and House, but an agreement was never reached in conference committee. In 2007, a version in the Senate proposed by Senators John McCain and Ted Kennedy with support from Pres. Bush failed to reach a cloture vote. The grassroots effort from NumbersUSA members was a major reason why the amnesty failed.

People, please use your heads about amnesty. Granting amnesty to millions of invaders inside the U.S. at this moment will severely weaken every program designed to provide benefits to you and your family in the event you should need them, including Social Security and Medicare. Amnesty will bring on Socialism in a rush. You and your family will work harder to get less so that the mooching invaders can live well on your income. Do you want to personally, and physically, work hard to give freeloaders a life that will be better for them than they have ever lived before while you do without? I don’t think so. I know for sure that I don’t!!
